The 69th World Foundry Congress will take place in Hangzhou (China) from the 16th to the 20th of October 2010

On the 20th of May it will take place in Azterlan a technical session focused on the refractory lining materials for induction furnaces used in the production of iron and steel.

Foundry technology specialization course. Instituto de Fudición TABIRA
The last module of this foundry specialization course took place at AZTERLAN on the 23th and 24th of April, and it was orientated to the solidification of the metal, defects associated to the microstructure, as well as the processing and properties of lightweight ductile iron castings. One of the working sessions allowed as well to make a very interesting approach to the metallurgy of aluminium.

World Foundry Organization executive meeting Instituto de Fundición TABIRA
The Executive Meeting of the World Foundry Organization took place in Krakow (Poland), with the active participation of the TABIRA Foundry Institute as part of the Executive.

Technical session: "Metallurgy of the iron foundries and advanced characterization concepts" Instituto de Fundición TABIRA
The 4th of March took place in Azterlan this working session, with the participation of 89 technicians belonging to 45 different companies from the foundry industry.
