Mr. Pierre-Marie Cabanne - RIO TINTO Iron&Titanium

Instituto de Fundición TABIRA
The 4th of March took place in Azterlan this working session, with the participation of 89 technicians belonging to 45 different companies from the foundry industry.

The cooperations between the TABIRA Foundry Institute and the foundry supplier companies allow, among other things, the organization of this technical activity focused on the metallurgy of the iron castings.

This technical activity counted with the active collaboration of the companies ESFEMETAL S.L., RIO TINTO Iron & Titanium and AZTERLAN, in a very interesting working program that covered the metallurgical aspects of iron castigs, along with certain characterization aspects directly related to the mechanical properties (dynamic properties and fracture mechanics of cast materials ).
