Nearly 20 WFO countries take part in three working conferences

Instituto de Fundición Tabira / Tabira Foundry Institute
The World Foundry Organization held in July 2021 its annual mid-year conferences with Member Associations, to advance some of the active challenges and action lines

27 professionals from the global technical network under the WFO took part on three different conferences. During the working conferences, the WFO National Representatives have been able to deal with relevant action lines like the situation and global Foundry response to the actual effects of the pandemic crisis, the new plans and roadmap for accessing technical knowledge in the industry or the answer from the WFO to some necessities and requests from members.

Some of the most noteworthy aspects of these important meetings are the decision to set up an international working group on raw materials, proposals for collaboration on actions around the CO2 footprint in foundry companies, and the decision to hold the next meeting of foundry representatives in a hybrid format.

The next encounter for the WFO Member Associations will be the celebration of their annual General Assembly on September 2021.
